These titles should not be overlooked
Cyberpunk is full of interesting material that could make for great video games. The futuristic, dystopian architecture and transhumanism allows for visually stunning worlds that don’t necessarily need photorealism to look good. This creates the potential for unique gameplay mechanics and progression systems that use technology like mechanical human augmentations. Here are some of the best Xbox One Cyberpunk games right now.
#10 Cloudpunk
- Platforms: Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, PC
Cloudpunk This is an adventure game that you can play as Rania, a delivery driver. A presentation made up of voxels. Cloudpunk‘s metropolis is visually impressive. It’s a good thing, as the vast majority of Cloudpunk‘s gameplay loop involves delivery packages to and from various locations for different clients. Along with a convincingly constructed city, there is a larger story to be told. Through tons of conversations with citizens, players can discover a lot about the world.
#9 The Ascent
- Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox Series X/5, PC
The Ascent is a top down shooter that also includes role-playing elements. There’s dialogue trees and progression systems. You can even slow down the Ascent on several occasions. Treks take you through what would be an equivalent to a RPG town. It isn’t all action all the time. It only doesn’t place higher on the list specifically because of the Xbox One version. This version feels much less than the Series X/S titles in comparison. Loading times in particular, are among the longest we’ve ever seen in a console game.
#8 The State of Mind
- Platforms: Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC
The state of your mind It’s reminiscent of a point-and-click adventure game with no pointing or clicking. Instead, direct control of your character within each 3D environment. There are interactive bits and conversations in adventure games that can be added to the world, but they have no other purpose than to make it more real. The narrative moves back and forth between two characters with differing backgrounds and goals. However, eventually the plotlines converge. The state of your mind It tells a great story, even though the performances are sometimes a bit silly.
#7 Observer
- Platforms: Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, PC
Observer is quite possibly Bloober Team’s best project, the studio better known for Layers of Fear The Medium. It strikes the perfect balance between passive exploration, player agency, and both. It has the most fully realized locations, which feel incredibly designed with a purpose. In a neat callback to one of the cyberpunk genre’s defining moments, Rutger Hauer from the original Blade Runner voices Observer‘s protagonist.
#6 Shadowrun Returns
- Platforms: Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, PC
Shadowrun Returns This industry’s significance deserves special mention. The original Shadowrun is an iconic turning point in console role-playing, and more closely resembles CRPGs. Shadowrun Returns This is a reimagining the original SNES title. It replaces the real-time action by tactical turn-based combat. It’s a more realized take on the classic cyberpunk RPG.
#5 Ghostrunner
- Platforms: Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, PC
Despite the sleek cyberpunk aesthetic, and death defying acrobatics. Ghostrunner isn’t as inviting as it wants you to think. It is a difficult and deceptively challenging game where one hit can lead to death. This game is difficult, but it has its greatest strengths. Each room presents a puzzle box of its own, challenging players to navigate the scene and take out their enemies without causing damage. It calls to mind the “one more try” mentality of games like Super Meat Boy OlliOlli. You will feel incredibly accomplished when you make it through any room.
#4 Ruiner
- Platforms: Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC
If you’re in the mood for an especially violent cyberpunk adventure, Ruiner You might find it right for you. Despite the cyberpunk genre’s dystopian environments, oppressive atmosphere, and human augmentations, most cyberpunk media tends to be light on the violence. This top-down shooter is sure to make you cry and possibly even make you feel. It’s also one of the few arcadey top-down shooters that places an emphasis on storytelling, which justifies some of the brutal combat.
#3 Superhot
- Platforms: Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC
While it’s not in the same genre as a game like Super Meat Boy, Superhot follows a similar mantra — it’s a brutally difficult game with short levels that continually test players. Because the scenarios are so short it feels impossible to succeed. Even though you are standing still, everything around moves at a very slow pace. It ramps up to normal speed when any action is taken. Superhot To get it done without any major injuries, you need to combine planning with quick reflexes.
#2 Katana Zero
- Platforms: Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC
Katana Zero Another retro-inspired platformer that mixes fast-paced action and deliberate difficulty is this one. While all enemies are defeated in one shot, you can still be a hero. This one-hit kill mentality makes it difficult to get through the stages. You must complete each stage within a set time limit to eliminate all enemies. This means that you can’t slow down and play it safe. You’re always in harm’s way.
#1 Deus Ex Mankind Divided
- Platforms, One, 4, PC
After two years, set another Deus Ex Human Revolution And 23 years earlier than the original Deus Ex, Mankind Divided Follow Adam Jensen, who is wounded in a failed mission. He repairs his augmentations and sets out to learn more about the terrorist organization from his failed mission. It is one of very few immersive sims. Deus Ex Mankind Divided Prioritize player agency. Entry points to locations and mission objectives often feature multiple paths depending on the player’s wit or character progression. It is really rewarding to explore the hub areas and self contained levels, considering all of your options.
Cyberpunk 2077: Bonus
- Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox Series X/5, PC
Cyberpunk 2077 The game has been a huge disappointment since its failed launch. It was plagued with bugs and poor performance on consoles of the last generation. CD Projekt Red is committed to fixing the game and has been patching up major bugs. As far as performance is concerned, it’s about as good as it’s going to get on last-gen machines, which is still not ideal. It should be a great experience for anyone who picks it up on PC or Xbox Series X/S.
