The Sims 4’s 4th edition will be getting two large expansion packs and the most popular feature ever: infants. The news was revealed during the Behind The Sims Summit stream. It also officially announced The Sims 5
Although we didn’t get much information on the expansion packs, there were some images that were briefly displayed during the stream. Along with a banner titled “new worlds”, two photographs were displayed. One showed what appears to be San Francisco-inspired land, while the other featured brightly-colored houses with terracotta roofs, mountains, and brightly-colored homes.
We were also unable to get any details on The Sims 4 infants. Other than the fact that they will be available in The Sims 4 sometime in 2023 and that they will have some mobility, we don’t know much. The Sims 4 currently offers seven life stages, including infant, toddler and child. This will increase to eight. Because babies aren’t able to do as much as toddlers, and because they can do more than most adults, the infant stage will be a bridge between them.
Simmers have been adding baby content and gameplay via mods for years. This will add a new level of realism to the game for players. The Sims 4 was not able to add toddlers until 2017, and we have always hoped for all age ranges in The Sims 5, so it is a good sign about the future.
These are the best ways to pass the time before The Sims 5 launches Sims games.
