Microsoft, Xbox’s parent company, is always on the lookout for new technology and gaming avenues. Recently, it announced that it has invested in Wemade in Korea, a Korean video game company that specialises in blockchain technology.
According to Wemade’s official PR (via VGC), the developer received an investment of approximately $46 million from multiple companies, including Microsoft. But it is unclear how much the maker behind Xbox has contributed to this total.
Henry Chang, CEO of Wemade, praised the investment in a statement. He also noted that the company will continue to exert efforts to attract capital and invest actively to build the digital economy platform.
