There’s a new hint that FFXVI will only temporarily be a PlayStation 5 exclusive, thanks to a “Play Like Never Before” PS5 trailer. Sony’s video features a clip of the game at the 15 second mark. It also noted that the footage was exclusive for six months. It also confirmed that a launch window for Summer 2023 was available. [Thanks, Wario64!]

For a reminder: FFXVI wouldn’t be the only Square Enix Final Fantasy Only temporary PlayStation Exclusive FFVII Remake As well. Initially, it was only available for a year. Square Enix stated that it would be available on the PS4 only until April 10, 2021 when it was set to launch. The PS5 FFVII Intergrade Remake Version then debuted on June 10, 2020. It appeared on computers shortly thereafter, on December 16, 20,21.
This announcement comes on the heels of a series of other announcements about the game. Information about the difficulty levels was also announced. Also, a demo was confirmed.
Final Fantasy XVI The PlayStation 5 will get it in Summer 2023. We’ll find out its release date in 2022. There’s no exact release date yet. It could be available on other platforms once the six-month exclusivity period has expired.
