The days are shorter and the weather is getting more severe. Winter is coming closer. Ragnarok is here! Yay! This title, Sony Santa Monica’s sequel to 2018’s God of War, is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated games of 2018. However, it also appears to have some references to Sony’s other first-party titles. These are minor spoilers. We promise it isn’t too big. But if you don’t want your collectibles to be spoilt, then stay away.
One user highlighted an Easter Egg they found in God of War Ragnarok, on the “The Last Of Us” subreddit. It’s one of many collectibles found throughout the game. A few hours into the game, players will find their first poem. They were written by Kvasir who is a wandering god that spreads his knowledge throughout the realms. It seems that The Last Of Us isn’t the only series they reference…
These poems, however, don’t appear be about any game or Norse mythology. They are instead references to Sony’s first-party games. These are, among other things, Horizon, The Last of Us Part 2 Ratchet and Clank and Death Stranding. The poems describe PlayStation exclusive games with rhyme and rhythm. It’s quite fun to see the way they are described in verse, while the titles of these poems reflect the game’s titles. One of them is, for instance, We Whoremain, Part Two.
The above-mentioned poem contains the following lines: “What’s it to live?” / What’s it to die? / What’s the difference between the two? / When your body is ravaged by disease, when your brain is ravaged by hate, what separates the mad and the insane? It goes on. There are clues already to the famous Sony game.
