ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The Michigan football team will host Illinois for a noon kickoff at the Big House next Saturday, Nov. 19, the Big Ten revealed early Sunday morning. Before the contest, the Wolverines will be celebrating Senior Day. This is the last home game in the 2022 season. It will be broadcast nationally by ABC.
After starting the season with a 7-1 record, the Illini have lost their last two games — both at home. The Illini lost to Michigan State 23-15 before losing by seven points to Purdue. This defeat jeopardizes their chances of winning the Big Ten West title.
And during the fourth quarter of Saturday’s loss to the Boilermakers, star running back Chase Brown left with an apparent right leg injury. Brown entered the weekend as college football’s leading rusher (1,344 yards). The program hasn’t released details about Brown’s status, but even if he can play against Michigan, the Illini will face a stiff test in Michigan and its elite rushing defense.
The Wolverines’ record is 10-0. This is Jim Harbaugh’s best start and the program’s best start since 2006. They have won 14 consecutive home games. This is the longest active streak in Big Ten. In the second half, Michigan has outscored its opponents 117-3 in the five previous games.

U-M has played six of its 10 games this season at noon. The program was a fixture on “Big Noon Kickoff” earlier this year but has kicked off its last three games later in the day, including a pair of night games against Michigan State and Rutgers.
On Nov. 26, the Wolverines will again play at noon in The Game — a battle for a Big Ten East title and Big Ten Championship berth against Ohio State in Columbus. FOX will broadcast the game.
