It’s a Black Friday miracle! It’s a Black Friday miracle! Xbox Series X You can still find it at selected sites, but you must act quickly if you want one.
If you’ve been on the fence about getting yours, this could be your moment. The giant among giants of the retail world, Walmart, has Microsoft’s next-generation console listed on its site. As of 10:30am EST, there were still consoles in stock, but those weren’t expected to last much longer.
Stock Informer, which tracks sales across several sites, lists Microsoft Store and StockX the only places you can still purchase the Series X. Walmart, however, had the console listed on its website as available for purchase. Amazon’s listing for the system is “available by invitation.”
It’s been a bountiful Black Friday for gamers this year. You can now finally grab the next-gen Xbox and the Sony PlayStation 5 has been easier to obtain than at any time in the past two years.
They have made it difficult for gamers to locate them in stock with both systems. It’s been akin to buying hard-to-get concert tickets than gaming consoles. There has been a mad rush for the refresh key because potential buyers were counting down the seconds to their chance at getting one.
It has been nearly impossible for those who choose to go brick-and mortar to obtain either system. One year ago, it was common to see people sleeping on the streets, pitching tents and waiting in line to purchase a PS5 or Xbox Series X. Many gamers were frustrated that there weren’t any guarantees of success back then.
The COVID-19 epidemic was the catalyst for all of this. Like many other manufacturers, Sony & Microsoft had difficulty obtaining all the parts they needed to make their respective consoles during the 2020 lockdowns. This resulted in a limited output. Stores would usually have around 50 units of each console in stock. That caused a massive spike in demand that we still see two years after initial launch dates.
This being said, gamers rejoice! If you act quickly, today could be your day.
