Fortnite Chapter 4 is only hours away. Epic has not publicly announced when Fortnite’s servers are going to be back up but there is some historical precedent and reasonable deductions that give us a good window of time. The short answer? You won’t wait long. Keep reading for a deeper answer. Here are the times you can play Fortnite again.
When will Fortnite servers come back online again?
Fortnite currently has a scheduled downtime due to the Chapter 3 final. Chapter 4 will soon be here, which means new weapons, an island and a battle pass are all in store. However, none of this matters until Fortnite servers let players back in the game. Epic likes to keep things surprising, but the recent history suggests otherwise. Fortnite will again be playable between 4 AM and 7 AM PST / 7AM – 10AM ET tomorrow, Dec 4. The three-hour window is based on our best guess. However, as we have covered many seasons of Fortnite, the actual time can change due to a variety of factors.
One, it takes downtime to apply the latest patch. Patches can also be delayed. Epic wants Chapter 4 to be launched as soon possible. However, things can sometimes get in the way. Notable is also the fact that the last year’s new seasons, as well as the launch of Chapter 3, featured a queue system which slowed down players’ access to the game beyond the main menu. Expect a queue to appear when you start Fortnite tomorrow. Epic and Fortnite players will be busy today with a new chapter launch.
Waiting time can increase even if servers are available right away. This will cause additional wait time and may lead to you having to wait longer.
All that being said, you can now drop in to a new map with a battle pass and new weapon, as well as any other Fortnite secrets. We will see you on the Battle Bus!
