Microsoft has revealed its January 2023 lineup of free games to Xbox Live Gold subscribers.

- Available for the whole month – Iris Fall (normally $19.99) – Enter the dreamlike, stunningly designed world of puzzles and adventure. As young Iris, follow a mysterious black cat through a maze of darkness and light. Iris will find that everything is connected to her as she goes deeper. Iris’s unique look, monochrome soundtrack and clever mechanics make for a thrilling adventure.
- Available January 16 to February 15 – Autonauts (normally $19.99) – The world is yours for the building! You can find uninhabited planets that you can transform. Starting with the absolute basics of harvesting sticks and stones, you’ll begin your foundation. You can eventually build workerbots which can help you build even more once you have honed their artificial intelligence. Teach them how to fish, harvest, cook and tailor. You will soon be able to create Folk that will require your help to survive. This sim game, which is very open-ended, offers tons of challenges and is very fun. Automate the world.
