Recent Xbox Game Pass announcements were a bit different. Xbox typically releases official announcements at the start and end of each month, letting gamers know what games are coming and going. However, recent Game Pass additions were made in the form of surprise announcements.
Game Pass was added to January with the additions of Mortal Shell and Stranded Deep. A notification received by some players also indicated that Shadow Warrior 3 was rumored. However, it is not confirmed at the moment. The message said Shadow Warrior 3 is now available to “play”, suggesting that the game will soon be available via Game Pass.

It is unknown if Game Pass upgrades won’t include the blog posts that are associated with them. It is possible to see the announcement format returning in mid-January or later.
Game Pass will continue to receive other games throughout 2023. Starfield and Redfall are expected to be added to Game Pass along with Hollow Knight, Silksong.
