This list shows what Prince George has to offer in live entertainment these days, after all the restrictions on Covid-19 have been lifted and people feel safe enough for them to go out into the world. There are many things to do.
Robbi Burns Night The Prestige Treasure Cove Resort will host the event on Saturday, 21 January at 6:30 pm. Celebrate Scotland’s greatest poet with Scotch tasting, haggis, dinner and entertainment. This event is a fundraiser to support the Prince George Symphony Orchestra. Mark Wheeler will serve as master of ceremonies. Ian McInnes, the piper, and Ian Cochrane will deliver the traditional address to the haggis. The Excalibur Theatre Arts Highland dancing troupe will also perform. Cocktails, a prime-rib dinner, silent auctions and live auctions will be held. There will also be skill-testing games, cash bar, and Scotch bars. For $86, a table of eight costs $600. Stand Up Comedy Night is back at the Thirsty Moose Pub Thursday, Jan. 26, doors open at 7:30 p.m. Virginia O’Dine will MC and the show features Devon Flynn and Kylie Lewis Holt for some 19+ entertainment. You can purchase tickets at UNBC’s Thirsty Molese Pub. Make sure to bring 2 pieces of identification. There is limited seating.
Coldsnap Craic It will be held at the Ramada Ballroom on Friday, January 27, at 7:30 p.m. Coldsnap 2023 kicks off with a Celtic party featuring Mi’kmaq fiddling sensation Morgan Toney from Cape Breton and the high energy traditional/contemporary music of West of Mabou from Saskatchewan.

Coldsnap’s Rock the Ballroom The event will take place at the Ramada Ballroom at 7:30 pm on Saturday, January 28th. The Hyaenas, a new Indie Rock/Synth band from Vancouver, are heating things up. Prince George Tapestry Singers The Columbus Community Centre will host their sixth annual Silent Auction and Dinner fundraiser. The Senior Tapestry Singers will entertain guests during the evening while they enjoy dinner. There are 80 silent auction items and there’s gift basket raffles. Tapestry Seniors Singers will receive all proceeds from the event. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Dinner is at 6:30 p.m. Tickets and more information are available at pgtapestry.ca.
Coldsnap for Kids takes place Sunday, Jan. 29 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Prince George Playhouse where the Oots ‘n Oots from Kelowna, a family of musicians, present their all-ages rock show filled with lightheartedness and laughter. Coldsnap Tickets has tickets.
Coldsnap’s Glorious Sunday The event will take place at the Prince George Playhouse on January 29th at 7:30 pm. Coldsnap is a night of energetic music that’s both traditional and full of chemistry. Burnstick, a Toronto-based folk band, pushes the boundaries with its unique blend of vintage Weissenborns and captivating vocal harmonies. Coldsnap invites everyone to embrace the winter blues Monday, January 30th at 7:30 pm at the Prince George Playhouse. A three-time Juno nominee, CFMA award winner and three-time Juno nominee, 10-time Maple Blues Award winning winner, and Lloyd Spiegel from Melbourne who is a multiple Australian Blues Award holder, Susie Vinnick from Toronto will offer a truly unique evening. Coldsnap’s Rock the Legion This event will take place Tuesday, January 31st at 7:30 pm. It features alternative rock music from Britt A.M. and The Cutbanks as well as July Crowd. It is a pay what you can event, so donations are welcome.
Coldsnap’s Accoustic Grooves The Legion will host a Wednesday February 1st event featuring Susie Ruth, Amanda Wood, and Ben Matchett. The event is free to attend, but donations are appreciated.
Coldsnap’s Sensational Singers The event will take place at the Prince George Playhouse on Thursday, February 2, at 7:30 pm. It features Aysanabee (Ontario) and Irish Mythen (Charlottetown). Coldsnap Tickets has tickets.
Coldsnap’s Kick Off to FrancoFun 2023 This event will take place at the Civic Centre on Friday, February 2, at 7:30 pm. Coldsnap is very happy to partner once again with Le Cercle des Canadiens Français de Prince George for a night of Francophone funk and trad. Coldsnap alumni E.T.E. will be performing at this event. with their lively take on Québec traditional music, and Winnipeg’s Jeremie & The Delicious Hounds who will close the night with smooth melodies. Prince George Folk Festival Society’s 20Th Birthday bash takes place on Saturday, Feb. 4 at 7:30 p.m. at the Prince George Civic Centre with award-winning Métis multidisciplinary folk pop artist Kaeley Jade from Edmonton, followed by, friends of Coldsnap, the bhangra, electronic, funk, dub, reggae, hip hop, celtic band Delhi 2 Dublin from Vancouver. Crones with The Cutbanks February 4th, at the Legion. Doors open at 8:30 p.m. Show starts at 9:00 p.m. The Cutbanks, a new band from New Jersey, will join local veteran rockers for a night at Legion.
