PS4 users are concerned about the future of their consoles after Sony posted a new promotional video on its PlayStation YouTube page. The PS4 is still relevant even though it’s been more than two years since its release in November 2020. This year, it will mark its 10-year-anniversary. It is highlighted in PlayStation’s “Upcoming Games in 2023” video. The video features 15 games. All of them are coming to PS5, however, only eight of these are coming to PS4. The video features 15 games, all of which are coming to PlayStation 5, but only eight of these games will be coming on PS4. The PlayStation console is not used for some of the most important AAA titles of the year.
The lack of PS4 games is a concern for PS4 gamers. Eight games out of fifteen is less than half of the total, and this percentage is lower than in previous years. The video shows that the console is slowly being left behind. While the PS5 was previously the exclusive home of notable PS5 games, most of these PS5-only titles are now from third-party developers.
Although it’s too early to start warnings about the death of the PS4, this seems to be a sign that the PS4 will soon be replaced by the PS5 or the current generation of gaming. The PS4 has survived the passage of many generations better than any other console. The PS3 was quickly replaced by the PS4 when it was released.
It may be time to upgrade to the PS5 if you are still on PS4. This is a thankfully easier option after years of supply problems. It is now possible to walk into stores and purchase one unlike the past.
