Release date for Elder Scrolls Online Necrom
The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom is due to be released on June 5 for Mac and PC, with a console release on June 20, 2023.
ESO Necrom Trailer
This trailer was released as part of the Elder Scrolls Online global unveil that took place following the Bethesda and Xbox showcases on January 27th. The trailer does not focus on Necrom but reveals that Necrom forms part of the larger Shadow Over Morrowind story. The end of the trailer reveals the return of the legendary daedric prince Hermaeus Mora, who will be part of the saga, alongside the new Arcanist class.
As you attempt to discover the secrets hidden by greater powers, Mora, the daedric prince knowledge, will be a part of the story in Necrom more than ever. According to the full global reveal of Necrom, “there are hidden powers that threaten Mora’s realm of Apocrypha, and the ultimate goal of uncovering one of these secrets… could unravel all of reality,” putting not just Tamriel, but the whole of Nirn, at risk. It is the player’s job therefore to try and stop this threat, all the while being tested by Hermaeus Mora.
ESO Arcanist Class
The trailer shows the Arcanist in a major role. It is also a big part of the expansion. For some time, players have been asking for a new class.
The Arcanist arrives with this new storyline as their power comes from knowledge, and from Apocrypha, so of course the arcanist goes hand-in-hand with Hermaeus Mora. This new class allows you to use runic magic to heal, damage, and move. You can also summon deadly tentacles from The Abyss and magical portals. The arcanist can choose from three skill levels: Apocryphal Soldier (Haarer of the Tome), and Curative Runeforms (Curative Runeforms). Your playstyle will determine which of these skill lines you play. They are supportive, defensive and offensive.
You can choose to play The Arcanist or another class. The new class offers knowledge, secrets, and information to The Elder Scrolls Online. These secrets will be revealed over time as your relationship with Mora develops.
Necrom takes place where?
ESO will see players exploring the Telvanni Peninsula at the eastern edge Morrowind. Here is the location of the city Necrom. While it all feels familiar to veterans of the series, it’s also new, and breathes new life into a city not seen in an Elder Scrolls game since Arena.
