Warner Bros. Games released a new trailer about the open-world action RPG Hogwarts Legacy.
This trailer is the launch trailer. It introduces the world of the game and its characters. Hits to the story are also included. The video takes just two minutes and 28 seconds. It’s funny that it follows a trend of “launch trailers” being released while the launch is still more than a week away. Although there are worse examples (Activision, anyone? ), I find it quite amusing.
Although the trailer has a default protagonist, you can customize your character to be your ideal witch or wizard.
It is available for you to see below.
Hogwarts Legacy takes place in the Wizarding World universe. It is based on Harry Potter’s franchise. However, it was set many years before those books. Specifically, we’re going to play a transfer student in the 1890s, which is a rather unique perspective on the history of Hogwarts. As they uncover the mysteries of the school, the players can join one of the famous houses. This will allow them to make friends, but also enemies.
It’ll launch for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on February 10, while gamers on PS4 and Xbox One will have to wait until April 4 following a recent delay. With the release date of the hybrid console being July 25, 2023, those wanting to play on Nintendo Switch may have to wait longer.
Recently, we heard about the graphics modes on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, on top of the system requirements for the PC version, which will also include the infamous Denuvo DRM. Warner Bros. Games also provided some juicy details about the voice cast, and a rather spiffy cinematic trailer.
