The PC port has received the first minor update Part 1 of The Last of Us. The game won an award and generated excitement when a PC port was announced by The Game Awards in December 2022. Originally, it was scheduled for a release on March 3, 2023. The Last of Us Later, the PC port was moved to March 28, 1998. Although it did not suffer any further delays, its launch was plagued with a variety of problems.

The release notes state that this update is designed to improve stability as well as performance. Release notes explain that the team has been actively improving performance and stability based on user feedback. Additional crash diagnostics have also been added to collect more information on shader-related crashes. The game’s shader architecture is a major culprit behind poor load times and stuttering. The change log shows that several files were modified by the new patch, at least one being related to the shaders.

Players who report that the PC port is not working properly will be relieved by the new patch. The Last of Us Unreasonably slow load times.
