ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville used middle innings to pull ahead of Presbyterian College and hold on for the win. Brody Fahr, Trey Fenderson And Dalton Reeves All connected on homers in Sunday’s defeat.

HOW IT HAPPENED
PC took an early lead with Fahr’s RBI single up the middle giving the Blue Hose a 1-1 lead.
Reeves hit his second homer of Saturday, a two-run blast to increase the lead to 3-0 after half an innings.
UNC Asheville made a comeback in the bottom of the first, scoring a three run home to tie the game at three.
– Fenderson’s two-run homer in the second inning continued the offense and put PC back in control, 5-3.
– The Bulldogs came closer in the third. A solo homer from rightfield brought it to 5-4 Blue Hose advantage.
The hosts took the lead in the fifth game with two runs. They were ahead by 6-5.
– The Bulldogs grew their lead in the sixth inning with a four-run inning that pushed it to 10-5 after six innings.
PC came closer to winning the series in seventh inning thanks to Fahr’s solo homer. This brought the score to 4 after seven innings. The Bulldogs won the game over the Blue Hose.
NOTABLES
Fahr and Reeves both had a pair of hits during the loss. Fahr scored his third homer of the season, while Reeves hit his fourth. The Blue Hose shortstop and catcher along with Fenderson each went deep on Sunday marking the first time PC has had 3+ homers in a game since connecting on four at Georgia on February 28.
Fahr becomes the Blue Hose’s first player to score 10 multi-hit runs. He’s now tallied hits for four consecutive games. Fahr is hitting.421 and has four extra-base hits as well as five runs.
Reeves had five extra-base hits during the week, including three doubles, two homers, and a team-high seven runs over the four games PC.
Decker scored his second double of this season and also swept his 11th base for the team in 2023.
Decker is one base away from breaking the PC DI career record of stolen bases tied by former Blue Hose Zacchaeus Rasse. Rasberry had 41 stolen bases while with the Blue Hose.
