Destiny 2 Players are calling for major changes to an Exotic weapon from Year 1 due to changes made by the Lightfall expansion. Lightfall’s launch has caused players to review several Exotics that they have used over the past few years. Destiny 2 Discuss with Bungie whether the weapons should be revised in future updates.
Destiny 2’s Lightfall expansion introduced Strand, which can be used in new weapons and subclasses. Bungie was able to develop the Strand element, adjust existing Light subclasses and consolidate difficulty options to high-level activity, and balance adjustments to several Exotics weapons and Legendary weapon. A certain Exotic weapon was however removed from the game. Destiny 2 Year 1 has missing critical adjustments that would bring it on par with existing weapons.
Reddit user: u/Corrupt96 Destiny 2 Players are asking for changes to the Hard Light Exotic rifle, which was popular in Year 1. Hard Light, as perceived by the community, lacks functionality due to the loss of the Match Game modifier. Additionally, players can use legendary weapons that do more damage to enemy defenses using the Adaptive munitions perk. u/Corrupt96 suggests that Hard Light should give damage buffs to players who cause a shield explosion using a matching energy type. The weapon could also benefit from perks like Voltshot or Incandescent. Other players suggest that Hard Light return to its Year-1 state, where it does not suffer damage dropoff.
Before the launch Destiny 2: LightfallThe Match Game modifier would make enemy shields more resistant to non-matching energie weapons and abilities used in Vanguard playlist activities. The main perk of the Hard Light Exotic is that it allows the weapon’s cycle through Arc and Solar energy types by holding down on the reload button. This makes the weapon suitable for activities that use the Match Game modifier. Many players now prefer to use weapons that have Adaptive Munitions or more powerful Exotic weapons, since Match Game was removed.
Lightfall introduced several new weapons which offer compelling perks as well as greater usability. Destiny 2’s High-level activities can make Hard Light an inconvenient place in the current meta. Although the Exotic’s abilities have been modified in various updates, Destiny 2The weapon’s performance is still poor, as many changes were made to the game. These changes include difficulty tuning and the addition and removal of modifiers.
Destiny 2 Bungie regularly reviews feedback from players about the Hard Light Exotic weapons and encourages them to continue their voice. Bungie might consider revising the Hard Light Exotic weapon if players continue to demand it. Up to then, Destiny 2 Season of the Deep will bring more weapons to the table for players.
