Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced today a new State of Play presentation. It will focus on Final Fantasy XVI.
Square Enix announced that the game will be presented in a gameplay presentation lasting over 20 minutes.
It’ll happen on Thursday, April 13, at 2:00 pm PDT, 5:00 pm EDT, 10:00 pm BST, or 11:00 pm CEST depending on where you live. This type of State of Play presentation usually only features one game so don’t expect any additional surprises.
Incidentally, earlier today we saw some cute footage of a moogle following similar clips focusing on Clive’s canine companion Torgal and a Chocobo.
If you are unfamiliar with Final Fantasy XVIIt’s Square Enix’s next mainline game in the popular fantasy series. Its development is spearheaded by many developers from the Final Fantasy XIV This is not surprising given the number of registered accounts in the latest MMORPG.

The scheduled release date is June 22, 2023, for PS5, and has already gone gold. The possibility of a PC version is also possible, although there is currently no official release date.
