Dogecoin (DOGE) competitor Shiba Inu (SHIB) is teasing a preview of “Rocket Pond,” the protocol’s upcoming metaverse.
In a recent announcement, the Shiba Inu Team teases Its metaverse plans and claims that the reveal Rocket Pond’s launch is only a matter of days away. Users can also win lands through a contest.
“Get ready to uncover the secrets of Rocket Pond! Stay tuned [for] An exclusive look at the metaverse. Plus, don’t miss your chance to win some lands – there’s only a few days left to enter the contest! WOOF!”
According to a SHIB team blog post, Rocket Pond is intended to visually depict the history and culture of Shiba Inu dogs as well as capture the feel of an hidden resort in mountains. Its architectural design is also based on several landmarks including Lake Tahoe, Cape Canaveral, and the Grand Canyon.

Shytoshi Kumar, the pseudonymous SHIB creator, revealed an image that resembled a movie poster during the SXSW Music Festival. Kusama claimed the image was a glimpse of the Metaverse in the game.
