Today Honkai Star Rail developer HoYoverse announced the new gacha banner and updated the game.
This update is small but fixes some issues that were not addressed by the previous patch. The full patch notes are below.
- The Adventure Mission “A Teacher and a Friend”, where the game could get stuck and crash after solving the Abacus circuitry puzzle, has been fixed.
- The target display was not always correct when Diting used the area detection feature.
- Optimised the notification when entering Simulated Universe prior to unlocking the Official Simulated Universe.
- Some dialogues no longer trigger properly.
- Fixes some issues with subtitles and voiced-lines.
- The text description for the 5-star character Yanqing Ultimate (The Hunt: Ice), has been optimized. This optimization doesn’t change the effect of the ability.
- The text description for the character Pela (4-star) (The Nihility : Ices Basic ATK & Skill). This optimization does NOT change the actual effects of the ability.
The next banner is also revealed (although it was not exactly a surprise, as it was seen in the beta). The featured character will be general General Jing Yuan, who was prominently featured in a gorgeous animated short earlier today.
According to the release, the banner would be available within a week on Wednesday, 17th May. Below you can find the official artwork. Light Cone banners will be available.
In slightly more colorful news, Jing Yuan appeared on the back cover of today’s issue of the popular Japanese women’s lifestyle magazine A. Below is a link to the video.
Honkai: Star Rail iS is a turn-based single-player RPG which can be played without charge (with optional microtransactions). The PC version is available through the Epic Games Store as well as a standalone application. It is also available for iOS and Android. Although the developers have announced that they are working on ports for PlayStation platforms, these are not yet available. According to an announcement made just a few weeks back, there has not been a date announced for the release, but it should be soon.
