Slavic mythology and our furry feline friends aren’t the first duo that springs to mind when you are wanting a new Metroidvania developers RedBlack Spade and Ratalaika Games want to combine these two seamlessly in Catmaze.
Today’s release on Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch follows the 2018 PC release. Catmaze lets you follow Alesta’s journey to save her mother from the grave. Alesta has enlisted the help of Yavi and Navi to assist her in this difficult task.
Alesta will be able to attract twelve additional creatures to her party. This creates a formidable team of fighters that can poison, freeze and destroy all the enemies she faces.
It will be spooky ghosts, poisonous mushrooms and truly terrifying bosses that will be encountered as you make your way across this Slavic Metroidvania world: as you progress through the story, you’ll gather new upgrades and abilities in order to expand the accessible landscape further, in true Metroidvania style.
