Gaming is a growing hobby that gamers are turning to services for their entertainment. This is something that console manufacturers and other companies know too well. They’re now focusing on this segment.
There are many options available and each person will have a different need. But you’ve wondered what gaming is the favourite service? Although it is difficult to say, because there isn’t enough data for them, a Statista poll by the Augusta Free Press attempted this question.
The agency interviewed 1099 US gamers and asked them what services were most important to them in the last year. The most successful pairing was PlayStation Plus / Now, with 41% of players choosing one of the two. Amazon Prime/Luna with 39%; Xbox Game Pass/Live Gold with 37%; Google Play Pass with 37%; Netflix with 33%. The graph below shows a complete summary.
It is possible that the percentage of all players may differ. It is also important that PlayStation Plus has undergone a massive transformation recently, incorporating Now and varying its offer with three different tiers: the impact of this change isn’t visible in the survey.
Have you noticed how many games are available on PS4 and PS5 under Plus?
