Ubisoft has repeatedly told fans and investors that it is a company called Ubisoft. Beyond Good and Evil 2 Despite reports that it is being canned, the project is still in progress. According to Tom Henderson, a well-known insider, Beyond Good and Evil 2 has been revealed. still hasn’t moved past early development phase, with the reported playtesting being done utilizing low-quality assets that look nothing like the 2018 pre-alpha walkthrough.
Beyond Good and Evil 2 was long considered vaporware
Beyond Good and Evil 2 has set a record for having the lengthiest development period – 15 years and counting – surpassing 2011’s Duke Nukem Forever. Much like Rockstar Games’ Agent, the game seems to be vaporware at this point. Rockstar Games chose to keep quiet about the project, and has never confirmed that it was cancelled. In Ubisoft’s case, the company insists that development is progressing but from the sound of things, we’re not sure “progressing” is the right word for what’s happening here.
“The majority of the images and footage provided to Insider Gaming show bare planets with blocked structures for buildings,” Henderson wrote on his website. Sources have told Henderson that playtesters were being told that development was still in the early stages.
