Rare’s GoldenEye007 is available for play on modern consoles starting Friday
GoldenEye 007 will be available on Xbox and Nintendo Switch starting Friday. This will allow gamers to play Rare’s 1997 FPS. The game will be available on Xbox Series X/S and One consoles with enhanced 4K visuals through Xbox Game Pass or as free DLC for 2005’s Rare Replay, and on Nintendo Switch though the Nintendo Online Expansion Pack.
Nintendo Switch gamers will have access to an emulated version the 1997 Nintendo 64 original. However, this emulated version will offer online multiplayer and a Widescreen mode. This will also feature the classic 4:3 aspect ratio. Xbox Players will have the option to play a remastered version that features higher resolution visuals and the game’s campaign. It also includes local split-screen coop modes, cheats, and the N64 classic. The Xbox version also includes achievements, native 16/9 support, and support to dual analog sticks.
The remastered GoldenEye 007 version of the game is not available for PC or any other gaming console. The game will release on January 27th on Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
