INDEX GAME Pursues Enhancing Metaverse Experiences with The Sandbox’s Investment

INDEX GAME is celebrating its first anniversary and has now become part of an investment agreement with The Sandbox. The Sandbox is investing nearly US$1.7M in INDEX GAMES to support its exclusive development in the Metaverse and Web3 environments. This is done in order to generate play to earn (P2E material) that will increase the potential of the interconnected virtual sectors.

INDEX GAME to Expand Metaverse Experiments in Hong Kong using US$1.7M from The Sandbox

INDEX GAME, headed by Joe Lau, Becky Wong and others, is considered the original Metaverse organization that was formally identified in Hong Kong by The Sandbox to create experiences for The Decentralized Metaverse. It is also the first company in the country to receive investment from The Sandbox, which could see an increase of up to US$6M over the next year.

INDEXGAME will also receive a Sandbox system that allows for the creation of IPs during the partnership. Only a year back, INDEX GAME shifted from a little autonomous game studio to a broad metaverse agency in which there were more than 30 staff members under The Sandbox’s incubation. The Metaverse agency has worked with around 15 well-known brands in Hong Kong, IPs and other partners to build remarkable projects under The Sandbox.

These include Fine Art Asia, Hang Seng Bank, Ocean Park, Sun Hung Kai & CO, Adrian Cheng, and so on. INDEX GAME is also working towards a well-known NFT voxel programme named Master 8 under The Sandbox. This virtual world is for decentralized gaming and a sub-branch to Animoca Brands. The Sandbox is now ready to move forward in the real world, and will begin this journey from Hong Kong in order to expand its user base.

The Sandbox Continues to Make Metaverse Experience More Interactive and Convenient For Users

Participating in unique experiences will allow citizens of Hong Kong to be allowed to operate The Sandbox’s play-to-earn system for a prolonged period of time this summer. Regular promotions will be offered to those who sign up for an account in The Sandbox. An opportunity will be provided to them to win an NFT-based house and a 1×1 land developed by the metaverse studio of the company.

The COO and the co-founder of The Sandbox, Sebastien Borget, stated that a great number of new customers will flock to the platform with The Sandbox Alpha 3 Atelier’s launch. He said that they have had discussions with many collaborators to suggest unique ways for clients to create avatars (their digital identities), and interact in a more detailed fashion. He said that this would allow anyone to create their dreams and complete their imagination in the Metaverse.

A workshop event will be held in support of Index Game and other native studios such as UFO School, Metalympics. It is designed for students, teachers, and adults. This program is open to both schools and all educational organizations.
