Laura Mercier’s color cosmetics debut in the Metaverse for Holiday 2022 has been made by Laura Mercier. The Orveon-owned beauty brand was founded by Laura Mercier, a global makeup artist, and has partnered up with Obsess, an industry-leading experiential ecommerce platform, to launch World of Beauty, its first virtual store.
The company claims that the World of Laura Mercier will be the first step in establishing a virtual e-commerce presence. It will offer an immersive and interactive online shopping experience.
Obsess’ patented technology includes industry-leading virtual shopping capabilities, including social shopping with your friends and livestreaming to and fro the virtual store. Laura Mercier and Karen Gonzalez (brand partner and influencer) joined forces to take advantage of the Obsess technology advances and keep people engaged in the virtual world. @iluvsarahiiOn December 6,, will host an event via livestream.

Utilizing web VR and AR as the enabling technologies, the HD-quality, 3D and 360-degree experience that is The World of Beauty features three highly interactive virtual rooms, all designed with the brand’s quintessential Parisian aesthetic in mind, said Laura Mercier. The virtual store is revealed to shoppers by Laura Mercier, who shares background information about her art and how it came to be.
The first room offers an introduction to her accredited “Flawless Face” technique, taking shoppers through the steps and products to achieve the iconic look, alongside a virtual shade finder.
The second room serves as a shortcut to shopping. Here, the brand directs consumers to carefully selected products and a path to checkout.
The final portion of the experience brings the Laura Mercier holiday collection “Wrapped with Love” to life and showcases an interactive 3D unboxing.
Users can also play an interactive “hide and seek” game on the platform. This allows them to use gamified elements to encourage purchase via product giveaways, and eventually to trial.
