Madden 23 Cursed Golf and many more

August is a pretty slow time for Xbox in terms of new game releases, but this week marks perhaps the most exciting time of the month if you’re a sports fan. That’s because this week marks the arrival of Madden 23.

Madden 23 will be released on Friday, August 19. However, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members with EA Play, and those who pre-ordered All Madden Edition can begin playing on August 16.

This year’s focal point is on FieldSENSE, a new gameplay system that serves as the foundation for consistent and ultra-realistic gameplay. Comprised of four main pillars —  Hit Everything, Skill-Based Passing, 360° Cuts, and WR vs DB Battles — FieldSENSE looks like a major leap forward for the franchise. It’s worth noting, however, that FieldSENSE is only available on the Xbox Series X|S versions of Madden 23.

Tribes of Midgard is another game that’s making its way onto Xbox this week in time to celebrate Season 3: Inferno. Tribes of Midgard is a multiplayer co-op game that blends action, survival and roguelite elements as you defend your village from hordes of invaders threatening to destroy the Seed of Yggdrasil, the sacred tree you’ve sworn to protect.

As you can see, there’s a ton of variety coming to Xbox this week. Way of the Hunter provides a unique hunting experience with a captivating story.  Chameneon is a 2D platformer/runner. You must navigate the neon lines of cyberspace to defeat a deadly virus. But one of the games I’m most looking forward to is Cursed Golf, which puts a unique adventure twist on the game of golf.
