Konami did not manage to end the horror long ago. Only PlayStation 4 owners could access the game if they had saved it on their consoles. The game could be downloaded to the PlayStation 5 in theory, but Konami decided not to allow backward compatibility.
Lawrence needed to take a few unusual steps in order to continue playing PT on his new console.

The console was not stolen. To unlock the game on my primary PS5, a hacked PlayStation 4 emulator was transferred to another hacked PlayStation.
Lawrence demonstrated how PT works really well on the PlayStation 5 in a very short video.
McDonald’s claims that this trick can only be used by players who already have a TB connected to their PlayStation Network accounts.
