You will find everything you need about September’s PS Plus lineup. … [+]
If there was an hourglass for August, it would show that the sand has largely fallen to its bottom. This month’s time is almost up, and September is hurtling towards us.
Every month, Sony reveals the next month’s upcoming free PlayStation Plus Essential games on the final Wednesday of the month. That means that we won’t know what’s coming to PS Plus in September until August 31st, a week from now.
That also means that September’s first batch of PS Plus games will release on Tuesday, September 6th, the first Tuesday of the month.
Also, we have the time to speculate and search the internet looking for leaks or rumors and then wait.
August’s two batches of PS Plus games have already come out. Both PS Plus Essential titles are available (Here) and PS Plus Extra/Premium titles (Here) were pretty great, and you’ll want to be sure to claim those before September 6th. Seriously, don’t miss out.
Will September’s lineup be as generous? It remains to be seen.
PlayStation Plus September 2022 Rumors & Leaks
As of this time, there are no PS Plus leaks for September, but if there are I’ll update this post with those details. Leaks have been pretty regular lately, so it’s likely that in the days before the 31st something will come out.
With no legitimate leaks or rumors to speak of, let’s move right on to predictions and wishes.
PlayStation Plus September 2022 Predictions & Wishlist
One of the biggest video game releases of September is the remake of Naughty Dog’s The Last Of Us Now known as The Last Of Us Part 1. The remake will include better graphics, and Joel will look much worse.
Joel actually looks better in the new trailer.
Now, given that this game is coming out on September 2nd, I’m almost tempted to say a PS Plus release of Part II: The Last Of Us This would make perfect sense. However, the timing is not right. The free game won’t drop until the 6th, days after this one releases. To drive excitement for the remake, a August release would have been more sensible. But what about the other?
A more rational guess might be Modern Warfare 2019 Activision and Infinity Ward will be releasing a new version. Modern Warfare II in late October. The release of this game free on PS Plus in September or October would drive more interest and increase play. The game is also three years old at this point so there’s no question its sales have dried up.
Also, Black Ops 4—which released in 2018—was added to PS Plus in July of 2021. That’s a similar time-frame. It’s not outside the realm of possibility!
Open-world furry-fighting is perhaps a better contender for PS Plus this month Biomutant These releases will be available on PS5/Xbox Series X on the 6th of September, the same day as PS Plus games. Creature-collection MMO and Creature-collection MMO are also available on September 6. TemTem And The Tomorrow Children: Phoenix Edition This latter feature is only available for PS5 and PS4.
Then there’s Disney Dreamlight Valley, The Disney Life-Sim game enters Early Access September 6th. This one is headed Xbox Game Pass, so it wouldn’t surprise me to see it on PS Plus Essential as well.
Outside of these, I assume we’ll see some kind of variety with a sim or strategy game. This is a good topic. Train Sim World 3 It will also be available on the 6th, and will also be available via Xbox Game Pass. It’s perfect.
In terms of the wish list, I would like to: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice To make it more accessible to you, we would grapple-hook it to PS Plus. It’s a wonderful, wonderfully challenging game from the makers of Dark Souls And Elden Ring, However, the Headless Ape could still suck it.
