Krafton, a PUBG developer, has announced that it is creating a new game based off the Korean fantasy book The Bird That Drinks Tears.
Krafton describes it as an “ambitious project” which “aims to bring to life the original fantasy universe of The Bird That Drinks Tears through its unique and refreshing fantasy race, beautiful, haunting environments, and gripping stories.”
Krafton explains that “The Bird That Drinks Tears” is a novel series written and created by Yeong-do Lee. Lee is widely recognized as the pioneer of Korean fantasy genres. “Mr. Lee is a highly imaginative writer, who creates elaborate worlds and fills them full of complex characters. He is one of the most popular fantasy authors in Korea.
Krafton is pursuing interest and hopes “to recruit top global talent to assist it realise its ambitious goals” and to join “respected concept artist” Iain McCraig to bring the project to life.
