As we do every December it’s time for us to reflect on the best gaming experiences of the past twelve months. Today, we are going to take a look at five of our favorite PC games in 2022. It is not easy to identify the best PC games. It’s not like Switch or PlayStation that there is a “first-party publisher” on PC. This means that the world of PC “exclusives can get murky. There are many games that are timed exclusives, or simply play better on PC because of a variety of factors. This includes the introduction of the Steam Deck which is a new feature for 2022.
This year’s top five PC games list includes games that you can sometimes find elsewhere (though not always), but we think multiplatform games are best enjoyed on PC, so they deserve a place on the list. This year’s list includes a speedrunning gem as well as a deep, detective-like experience and a physics playground.
Also, be sure to check out our Best Of Lists for other platforms such as Xbox, PlayStation and Switch. The year was fun, regardless of where you play them. There’s sure to be something for you. One last note. This list is not ranked. You may have a favorite listed here, but don’t get too attached to the order they appear.
