In 2022, PlayStation Plus was redesigned. It no longer offers free games or online multiplayer access. Instead, it now has a back catalogue of games for its higher tiers. PlayStation Plus Extra subscribers get access to many games from the PS4 while Premium subscribers get access to more PS3 games and classics from older PlayStation consoles. These games are often first-person shooters. But which ones are worth your attention?
We looked through the entire list and chose the top first-person shooters for PS Plus Extra or PS Plus Premium. There were many critically-acclaimed games from many franchises. Many also included hybrid genres like vehicular combat and role-playing. Don’t worry; we’ve left out the worst games from this list. This means that you can feel confident in knowing that you’ll have a great time if you choose any of these games. We don’t blame you if you are eager to see new games in each series after you’ve played all of the available titles. You could also blame us for this, since we suspect that it would be all our fault.
