Trombone Champ Devs Responds to New Switch, Console Port and Demand

The problem is that it’s only one platform, which may be about to change thanks to an exclusive conversation with Holy Wow Studios and a Trombone Champ console port.

Devs of Trombone Champ Respond to Switch, Console Port Demand

You can play Trombone Champ on Xbox One, PlayStation Two or Switch. We do too, but it’s not the ideal set-up to play the game according to developer Holy Wow Studios. The game can be played using a controller. However, it’s best to use the mouse to control pitch and the keyboard to play a note. It’s actually a well-thought-out controller mechanic.

It would be a huge hit if Nintendo Switch had motion controls. Wii Music touched on this, so it’s not going to be a hard sell for Ninty enthusiasts.

It would be fantastic if the PlayStation 5 port could also take advantage of haptic control. You can simulate playing the trumpet with the left and right triggers or the DualSense touchpad.

Xbox customers may have the most basic experience, which could be a replica of the Steam version’s controller setup. Although Xbox Series X/S does support keyboard and mouse input, it’s still a possibility to have the original experience of Trombone Champ on the console.
