Vulcan Forged, a New York-based provider of a blockchain game studio and decentralized application (“dApp”), raised an undisclosed amount in Series A funding.
The round was led by Anthony Scaramucci’s SkyBridge Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to further accelerate the growth of its patented metaverse-as-a-service engine, MetaScapes, and to scale operations in North America and existing key markets.
Vulcan Forged, led by Jamie Thomson, is a blockchain-based game studio, dApp incubator, and cross-chain NFT market. It is the creators of web3 games such as VulcanVerse (Forge Arena), Berserk, and more than 15 other games and apps with over 200,000 members.
Vulcan Forged, an independent proof-of-stake Blockchain, created Elysium in 2021. It was specifically designed for gaming, dApps, and other metaverse activity. Elysium has fast transaction speeds and low gas costs. Elysium, in partnership with Coorest which uses tokenized trees for offsets of its energy consumption and environmental impact, is compatible with Ethereum Virtual Machines. The more the Elysium blockchain is used, the more trees are planted over 5,000 acres of land in Spain and Greece, reserved specifically for this purpose. The studio is now launching a patented metaverse-as-a-service engine, MetaScapes, that allows users to design and build their own metaverse land and store that data in a non-fungible token (NFT).
