It’s nearly time to say goodbye 2022 and welcome 2023!
The Lone Star State offers a variety of events for people to ring in the New Year. These events range from family-friendly bashes to extravagant concerts, parties at local bars, and even special dinner menus.
Here are 15 New Years’ Events that will be happening in North Texas
1. LONE STAR NIE: COUNTDOWN TO 2023
Texas celebrates New Year’s Day in a big way. You can enjoy one of the largest and most extravagant New Years celebrations in Texas from the warmth of your own home.
Tune in to “Lone Star NYE: Countdown to 2023” airing live on NBC 5 from 11:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. CST. It’s hosted by NBC 5’s Katy Blakey and KARK’s D.J. Williams from Reunion Tower’s Geo Deck.
The show will include the annual “Over the Top NYE” live fireworks spectacular presented by Hunt Realty Investments and Reunion Tower, benefiting Children’s Health, with NBC 5 and Nexstar serving as official media sponsors.

2. NEW YEAR’S EVE AT TEXAS LIVE! IN ARLINGTON
“New Year’s Eve Live!” Texas Live! It will feature live entertainment, delicious food, delicious drinks, and champagne toasts.
You can expect live music, games and party favors along with a countdown and ball dropping, as well as live entertainment and a midnight toast. You can choose from four packages, which include drinks tickets and a party platter.
3. GARY OWEN DFWNYE TAKEOVER VI in GRAND PRAIRIE
Look no further if you want to have a good time and laugh your way through the new year. Comedian Gary Owen will present the “DFW NYE Takeover VI” on December 30 and 31. Enjoy live music, laughter, party favors and a champagne toast with special guest such as Mike Epps and Lunell. Tickets are on sale now.
4. NOON YEARS EVIL AT FORT WORTH SCIENCE AND HISTORY
Fort Worth Museum of Science and History presents a “Noon Year’s Eve Celebration.” Get dressed up and learn about New Year traditions. Make party poppers. Learn about animal new years and make resolutions. A confetti drop will take place at noon.
For ages 3-11, $12. Parking costs vary. The admission price includes free parking. The event will end at 12 p.m. but the Museum will be open until 5:15 p.m.
5. ROYAL MAQUERADE BALL NYE AT STATLER IN DALLAS
Enjoy this sixth annual “Exciting Year’s Eve Event” in style, luxury, and grace at an extravagant location.
The Royal Masquerade Ball is held at The Statler the Extravagant Hotel, in the heart downtown Dallas. One room will host a full meal, while the other will play your Top 40 Hip Hop mashups. You can indulge in champagne and cocktails while you sip on champagne from the open bar.
6. NEW YEAR’S EVE: NEON GARDEN FEATURING ANGO IN DALLAS
DJ Ango takes over the AT&T Discovery District for a party in the heart of downtown Dallas. Special performances will be held, along with digital fireworks and drinks and bites. RSVP required to gain admission.

7. JAZZBERRY JAMMIN’ NEW YEAR’S EVE IN PLANO
Join Crayola for confetti countdowns, dance parties, and character appearances at noon and 2 p.m., as well as special New Year’s Eve-themed crafts at the Be A Star, Activity Studio, and Colossal Caddy attractions. Here you’ll create your own coloring page, craft an NYE crown and make your 2023 resolution list.

8. PARTY LIKE IT’S 1982 (SEVERAL NORTH TEXAS LOCATIONS)
It’s back to the ‘80s with five hours of retro arcade fun at Free Play locations in Arlington, Fort Worth, Denton and Richardson. There’ll be a 1980s montage countdown, a confetti explosion and a complimentary Champagne toast at midnight.
You can have a specialty drink for one night only and eat midnight breakfast at the midnight bar. This includes cereal and eggs.

9. NEW YEAR’S EVE BALL DROP IN FORNEY
At this New Year’s Eve celebration in Forney, dance to Midnight Soul. Enjoy food trucks, drinks stations (with alcoholic or soft drinks) and other fun activities. The night ends with a countdown and ball dropping from City Hall at midnight.

10. NEW YEAR’S EVE DISCO IN PLANO
There’ll be disco fever on three floors of Legacy Hall, including a performance in the Box Garden by Hall and Oates tribute band the Rich Girls. You can find DJs on each floor and Instagrammable photo opportunities. Your admission ticket includes two craft drinks. You can also purchase additional cocktails or late-night bites.

11. DAY 1 DFW IN IRVING
On New Year’s Day, come out to play at this eighth annual event with face painting, games, bounce houses, live animal shows, magic and circus act and live bands—It’s all there, plus fireworks show wrapping up the day. Plus, the proceeds benefit local nonprofit Vogel Alcove, which serves homeless children and their families.

12. NYE ADULT PRIMARY IN ARLINGTON
You can relive your prom night as an adult with high-fashion urban flair, upscale dining and a high-fashion venue. Korto Momolu (celebrity fashion designer) will judge the Best Dressed Competition. The $500 prize comes with prizes. The Prom King or Queen will be chosen. A Trap Waltz will be performed right before the new year by professional choreographer Todd Belin from Moves in Motion.

13. NEW YEAR’S EVE COMEDY BASH IN RICHARDSON
Paul Varghese headlines two NYE comedy shows. The late show features a midnight Champagne toast, party favours, black-eyed beans and cornbread after midnight, as well as a ticket to a future comedy show.

14. NEW YEAR’S EVE CHAMPAGNE LIFE IN DALLAS
Go glam at this strictly black tie “Royalty Masquerade and Casino” themed party hosted by Champagne Life. There will be three DJs on the night, live jazz, open bar from 9 to 1 AM, dinner, casino games, and many other party areas.

15. EPIC FAMILY NEW YEAR IN GRAND PRAIRIE
Epic Waters, Grand Prairie’s 800,000-square-foot indoor-outdoor water park complex, will say aloha to 2023 with a Hawaiian luau-inspired party. A 600-foot lazy stream and a FlowRider surfer simulator will be the main attractions. There will also be performances and games by hula dancers as well as aerialists and circus acts.
Optional dinner will include pork sliders and fried rice, spring rolls, mini pineapple upside-down cakes, and a fried egg.

16. ZOO YEAR’S EVEN AT THE FORT WORTHZOO
The Fort Worth Zoo’s slumber party welcomes children 6-12 years of age. Parents are welcome to stay up late with their children while they enjoy an overnight event that includes crafts, movies, and a night hike through zoo.

17. GREAT GATSBY NEW YEAR’S EVE IN DALLAS
This New Year’s Eve join what’s called the most sought-after NYE Gala in Dallas – The Great Gatsby. Every year tickets sell out in advance so don’t delay! As we celebrate the 20th century with the unique NYE, don’t forget to dress in your Great Gatsby best.
The Great Gatsby is the ultimate New Year’s Eve, Dallas’ Black Tie affair, featuring a 4-hour premium open bar, midnight champagne toast, midnight NYE countdown, multiple party areas, a live band, and the area’s best DJs.
