Microsoft has revealed the Xbox titles it will be bringing to Gamescom over the next few weeks, including Obsidian’s exclusive Pentiment and Age of Empires 4 Flight Sim, as well as Grounded.
Microsoft is the only platform holder and one of the few companies that has committed to Gamescom. Sony and Nintendo will miss the big in-person return of Activision Blizzard as well as Take-Two.
Embracer, Bandai Namco & Ubisoft will also be present. However, Assassin’s Creed fans expect all the big reveals from Ubisoft to actually happen online via a special event scheduled for September.
Gamescom attendees will be able to play a variety of third-party games at the Xbox booth. These include the upcoming A Plague Tale Requiem and Disney Dreamlight Valley, as well as Gunfire Reborn.
Microsoft will also demo its new Xbox app on 2022 Samsung TVs. Fans will be able to take photos with Microsoft characters such as Starfield’s robot companion VASCO and Minecraft piglins.
This includes a five-metre Broodmother spider, which is hilarious. If you are in arachnophobe mode, it might not be for you.
Eurogamer will be reporting live from Gamescom as usual.
