Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Features a variety of New Game Plus exclusive mechanics, features, and options. This guide will detail them all. New Game Plus offers a completely new experience, with exclusive blades and new ways to acquire rare items.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Monolith Soft published the action RPG, “Action RPG”, in 2009. It tells the story of Rex, who accidentally becomes the Driver To Pyra, a legend blade known as “The Aegis”.
New Blades
New Game Plus features several new blades, which are all members of Torna that were found during boss fights in the first playthrough.

Traveling Bards & Leveling Down
New Game Plus features a group of Traveling Bards that appear in Alrest. They will exchange their Bonus EXP for a variety useful items. Players can now lower their character’s level by resting. This converts the EXP to Bonus EXP. These Bards are located in the following places and offer the following items.

The Accessory Expander Kits enable players to increase the number and type of Accessory slots each Driver has by 1.
Poppi can be enhanced with the Elemental Core: Light or other Master Mods. They allow you to change her stats and role in many different ways.
Overdrive Protocols enable players to swap blades on a different Driver.
Hidden Affinities & Changes to Blades
Entering New Game Plus unlocks a second affinity map for every Driver in this game. This allows each Driver to unlock a variety of powerful new skills. Zeke’s Eye of Shining Justice is a noteworthy skill. It allows him to increase his speed and attack speed while being immune to all status effects.
All character-specific Blades now can be deployed on Mercenary Missions. However deploying any form of Poppi will render them all unavailable, and Tora will be locked out of the party until her return. Pyra/Mythra will now be able to deploy her true form, Pyra/Mythra, and “Pneuma”, which grants her a level 4 special attack after she is re-unlocked in this story.

This is the next step in the progression of the previous playthrough.

- All awakened Blades (except Roc, Aegaeons, Nia, Poppi’s second and third form), and the Blade was awakened using Core Crystal Gramps that Rex in Gormott gives.
- Items, Gold, Store Deeds
- All Areas: Development Levels
- Mercenary Ranking level
- Status and data about Unique Monsters defeated
- Use Theater for all Events
- Playtime
This saves time and allows players to not have to re-acquire their favorite Blades or skills during a second playthrough. Quests, Merc Missions and Heart-to–Hearts don’t retain progression in NG+. Players will need to redo those. This is also true for Skip Travel locations, Salvager Rank.
